A short film starring the blind presented in Lviv

The First Ukrainian Theater for Children and Youth presented a short film "Incredibly Blind Case." The main roles were played by two blind men.

Oksana Potymko, the initiator and coordinator of the Blind Case project, announced this on Facebook.

"This film is the first attempt to look with humor at the daily challenges that blind people face every day. The main actors in the film are two blind men, Mykhailo Petrov from Lviv and Vasyl Chovban from Mukachevo," Potymko said.

The director selected the actors at the casting among the visually impaired. The team notes that not only Lviv residents but also blind people from other Ukrainian regions took part in the casting. Director Andrii Snitsarchuk, who wrote the screenplay, and many Lviv actors and artists joined the filming process: Roman Fedoryshyn, Yaroslav Nudyk, Svitlana Melesh, Yaroslav Kyrhach, Ihor Danchuk, Marta Kulai, Roman Martyn, Oleksandr Chesherov, and others.

According to the results of the shooting of the first film, where the main characters are blind people, director Snitsarchuk intends to continue a series of adventures of two blind friends.

At the presentation, the audience not only received excessive emotions from watching the adventure comedy but also met with the actors and the team.

The picture was produced by the Lviv regional branch of the Ukrainian Union of the Disabled, USI, with the support of the Department of Social Protection of the Lviv City Council.
